**CURTIDOS RIBA GUIXÀ S.L.U** adopts moral and ethical values in the management of the company that must be strictly respected.
The objective of this Code of Conduct is to establish in writing the operating philosophy and appropriate behaviors. Therefore, it serves as a guarantee of respect and responsibility that is present in everything we do. It also ensures that the third parties we work with share ethical principles and conduct that align with ours. Ethical behavior, compliance with the law, and transparency are always present in all our actions, while we reinforce our commitments to the safety, well-being, and development of all our teams.
Our ethical code consists of 5 points:
1.- **Recruitment of Personnel**:
– Promote diversity and equal opportunities.
– Ensure a clear and transparent hiring process.
– Treat applicants with respect and attention before, during, and after the interview.
– Ensure the confidentiality of job applications.
2.- **Employment Responsibility**:
– The use of forced labor, as well as the employment of children under 16 years old, is strictly prohibited.
– All employees will be treated with respect and dignity. No kind of abuse will be tolerated. There will be no discrimination based on gender, race, religion, age, disability, sexual orientation, political affiliation, nationality, or social or ethnic origin of the worker.
– We adhere to and comply with the provisions of the National Collective Bargaining Agreement for the Leather, Industrial Belts, and Leather Tanning Industries, as well as for the Tanning of Furs for the Fur Industry.
– The right of each employee to collective bargaining, to create or participate in unions of their choice, will be respected and recognized without any penalties, discrimination, or harassment.
3.- **Hygiene and Safety**:
We prioritize the safety and health of workers at all times, applying the stipulations in our regularly reviewed Risk Assessment.
– A safe and healthy working environment will be provided to prevent accidents or injuries that could be caused by, related to, or a consequence of work or equipment handling.
– We require our contractors and suppliers to comply with health and safety standards for their employees through proper coordination of business activities.
4.- **Quality and Environment**:
The company is fully committed to respecting the environment. Initiatives are supported to reduce the environmental impact of factors directly related to the industrial activity carried out, through:
– The creation of an active environmental policy (implementation of an environmental management system, certification of environmental audits, traceability, etc.).
– Proper waste management, with special attention to hazardous waste and emissions that cannot be discharged or disposed of.
– Employees whose work has a direct environmental impact must be trained, competent, and provided with the necessary resources to perform their work correctly.
5.- **Responsible Behavior**:
Behavior based on:
– **Confidentiality Policy**: Each collaborator must commit to not disclosing verbally or in writing, publicly or privately, in whole or in part, the information they possess, particularly regarding collections (nature, color, material origin), the company’s commercial activities and foreign subsidiaries (pricing, billing, results), collaborators, external contractors, and the client portfolio (client identities, nature and amount of orders, personal data).
– **Conflict of Interest**: Every collaborator may face situations where their personal interest or that of individuals or entities close to them conflicts with the interests of RIBA GUIXÀ SLU. The collaborator must do everything in their power to avoid such conflicts of interest with RIBA GUIXÀ SLU or any other related company. In this regard, it is the collaborator’s responsibility to decide with full awareness, considering their duty of loyalty, and, in case of doubt, consult their superiors. The collaborator must declare in writing any conflict of interest.
– **Fight Against Corruption**: All forms of corruption are prohibited. Every payment must reflect legitimate services and prices as described in the contracts and agreements. Gifts and invitations are only authorized in usual social and business contexts, as well as payments to political parties, unions, or cultural organizations aimed at promoting a specific interest or securing an advantage.
**Control and Reporting**
At RIBA GUIXÀ SLU, we are aware that ethical values are an essential and indispensable part of the corporation’s life and culture; therefore, we take any notification regarding illegal practices or inappropriate conduct within our organization seriously.
For this reason, we promote an email address to report such practices and conduct. These reports will be handled by the company’s Ethics Committee and will be treated with complete confidentiality.

The General Management and its Management Committee will ensure the dissemination and implementation of this code. Any collaborator conducting practices or business that differ from the terms established in this Code will be subject to the relevant disciplinary measures by General Management.
